Seek God

Over the last two months, we’ve taken a hard look at today’s culture. We live in perilous times. So, where do we go from here? What can the righteous do while living inside an immoral society? Our first priority is to seek God. Today, we will look at Noah’s example in seeking God.

    1. 6.5-6 – These verses are a window into God’s heart. What did God see?

      2. 6.5b – Every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
    2. Matthew 15.19 – Jesus identified the heart as the source of our defilement.
      1. Proverbs 4.23 – guard your heart.
    3. 6.11-12 – The earth was filled with violence.
    4. 6.6 – How did God feel?

II. Noah Found Grace.

  1. 6.8 – Found gives us insight into Noah’s character.

    2. 3.4 – Many want to eliminate the idea of retribution and justice of judgment.
    3. 3.5 – Today, many deliberately disregard and work to discredit the Biblical message. Silence believers.
  2. As the world runs away from God, what will you do? Will you resist the pressure to conform? Will you stand up in faith?
  3. 2 Peter 3.7-13 – this event is coming.

IV. Seek God By Getting on the Ark.

  1. When you enter into saving faith through Jesus – you can ensure your spiritual survival through eternal life with Jesus Christ. John 10.9.
  2. Salvation in Christ has only one door, John 10.9; 14.6. You can enter that door by faith.
